Low-Calorie Donuts in Bolingbrook
Low-calorie donuts in Bolingbrook: seven baked minis at 300 calories for the whole order, 36g of protein, no added sugar — and how to read any donut's numbers.

Three hundred calories — for the plate, not the donut. An order of Fuel Up's low-calorie donuts in Bolingbrook is seven baked minis at 300 calories total, with 36g of protein, gluten-free, and no added sugar, every number printed on the menu before you order. "Low-calorie" is a claim a lot of donuts make, though, and it's only worth something next to the serving it's measured on. Here's how to read a donut's numbers, ours included, so the word on the box never has to do the deciding.
Four numbers, one answer
Every low-calorie or high-protein donut claim comes down to four lines, and most labels only make one of them easy to find.
| What to check | Why it matters | Fuel Up's order |
|---|---|---|
| Protein, per serving | The number the name is promising | 36g (Deluxe: 37g) |
| Calories, per serving | What the protein costs you | 300 (Deluxe: 324) |
| Added sugar | The line that separates a donut from a protein bar | None |
| The serving itself | What the two numbers above are actually measuring | The seven-mini order |
Read those four together and you have your answer for any donut, from any shop or any shelf. Read one of them alone and a label can tell you whatever it wants.
Per order, not per donut
This is the line that gets skipped, and it's the one that matters most. A protein number is only as honest as the serving it's attached to. Quote protein for the whole box and calories for one piece, and a donut looks like a miracle. Quote both for the same serving and it looks like food.
Our serving is the order: seven minis, 36g of protein, 300 calories, all three numbers on the same line of the menu. We don't print a per-donut figure, because the minis are sold as an order of seven, not one at a time. The Deluxe order is measured the same way — seven minis loaded with strawberries, bananas, blueberries, and whipped cream, 37g of protein at 324 calories.
If a low-calorie donut anywhere else won't tell you what its serving is, that's your answer about the calories.
"No added sugar" is a different claim than "sugar-free"
A donut can have sugar in it and still carry no added sugar. That difference is the one worth understanding before you buy anything sweet. The FDA draws the line clearly. Total sugars count everything, including the sugar that occurs naturally in fruit and milk. Added sugars are the ones put in during processing — syrups, honey, table sugar. The Daily Value for added sugars is 50 grams on a 2,000-calorie day, and the Dietary Guidelines say to keep them under 10 percent of your calories. That's the budget to check a sweet thing against.
Our donuts spend none of it. Neither donut build has added sugar. The caramel and chocolate drizzles are sugar-free, and the "powdered sugar" on the original is a cinnamon-vanilla protein dusting that only looks like the real thing. The carbs are printed too, 10g for the original order and 16g for the Deluxe, so a low-carb day can check the math instead of trusting the adjective.
One label we won't put on the box, because it isn't true: sugar-free. The drizzles are sugar-free. The donut has no added sugar. Those are two different claims, and only the accurate one goes on the menu.
Baked in-house, to order
Fuel Up's donuts are baked here, when you order them, not pulled from a case that was filled before the doors opened. That's why the minis come out soft enough to melt in your mouth. It's also why the Deluxe's fruit, whipped cream, and sugar-free drizzles land on a donut that was just baked.
It also means the numbers on the menu describe the donut in front of you. The 36g and the 300 calories are the recipe as baked, every time. Nutrition can shift with substitutions and add-ons, so the team walks through ingredients at the counter if you ask.

Healthy for which job
"Healthy" only means something next to what the donut is replacing. A few honest calls from our side of the counter.
As a meal, yes. 300 calories buys the whole plate of seven, and the 36g of protein riding along is more than our 24 oz shake carries at a similar calorie count. The order is built to stand in for a meal, and it's the one thing on the board you eat with your hands.
As a fiber source, no. We don't print a fiber number for the donuts, so we won't claim one. If fiber is what you're after, a protein smoothie carries 5 to 10 grams on its own. A $2 Fiber booster adds 6g to any shake or tea.
Around cinnamon, ask first. Both builds contain cinnamon. If you're ordering around an allergy or celiac disease, say so at the counter and the team will walk you through how the donuts are made before you decide.
Deluxe versus original is a 24-calorie question. The fruit and whipped cream add 1g of protein and 24 calories. Pick by whether you want brunch or a donut, not by the numbers — they're close enough to be a coin flip.
Ordering an order
We're at 325 N Weber Road in Bolingbrook, open Monday through Friday 6 AM to 6 PM and Saturday 8 AM to 5 PM. Call (708) 556-9800 and the box will be ready when you pull up, or order through order.online for pickup and delivery.
Both builds are on the donut menu page, both builds with protein and calories listed, so compare them before you come in. Or say "it's my first time" at the counter and the team will point you to one in about thirty seconds.
Questions we get asked
How much protein is in a protein donut?
36g for an order of seven minis — that's the serving on our menu, and the whole order is 300 calories. The Deluxe order is 37g at 324 calories. We don't print a per-donut number, because they're sold as an order of seven, not one at a time; the order is the serving.
Do protein donuts have sugar?
No added sugar in either build. The caramel and chocolate drizzles are sugar-free, and the 'powdered sugar' on the original is a cinnamon-vanilla protein dusting, not sugar. The sugar number is printed on the menu next to the calories, so check it before you order.
Are protein donuts baked or fried?
Baked, in-house, to order. That's why the minis come out soft enough to melt in your mouth, and why your order isn't sitting in a case from the morning bake. Both builds start from the same seven baked minis; the Deluxe adds fruit, whipped cream, and sugar-free drizzles.
How many carbs are in an order of protein donuts?
10g for the original order and 16g for the Deluxe, printed on the menu board next to the calories, with no added sugar in either. That's the whole seven-mini order, not one donut.
Can a protein donut order replace a meal?
Yes. Seven minis at 300 calories carry 36g of protein — more than a 24 oz shake — so the order is built to stand in for a meal rather than sit beside one. We open at 6 AM on weekdays if that meal is breakfast.
Do protein donuts have fiber?
We don't print a fiber number for the donuts, so we won't claim one. If fiber is the box you're ticking, a protein smoothie carries 5 to 10 grams natively, or a 6g Fiber booster is $2 in any shake or tea.
